Journal History

AL-ADABIYAH: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam is published by Universitas Islam Negeri Kiai Haji Achmad Siddiq Jember. The journal was established in June 2020 with the publication of Volume 1, Number 1.

The journal is managed by a student association, with some editorial positions rotating annually in line with changes in the association’s leadership. Each student editorial team therefore oversees one volume during its term, reflecting the limited duration of students’ academic tenure.

Beginning with Volume 3, Number 1 (2022), the journal introduced a revised article template based on reviewers’ recommendations. The standalone Literature Review section was removed to align the template with the IMRaD structure: Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion.

Since Volume 6 (2025), the journal has followed a quarterly publication schedule, with four issues per year:

• Number 1: January–March

• Number 2: April–June

• Number 3: July–September

• Number 4: October–December
